暮春客途即景 – (明) 於謙

 

雨中紅綻桃千樹，
風外青搖柳萬條。
借問春光誰管領，
一雙蝴蝶過溪橋。

 

A wayfarer’s Glimpse of Late Spring

by Yu Qian (Ming Dynasty)

 

Hundreds of peach petals redden in rain,

Thousands of green willow wands sway in breeze.

May one ask who lords o’er such spring’s domain?

Two butterflies glide by the bridge to please.
