生當作人傑，

死亦為鬼雄。

至今思項羽，

不肯過江東。

(A Quatrain in Summer)

 

Alive, one shall be an unrivalled man,

After death, still hailed a champion ghost.

We revere Xiang Yu, who’d rather die than

Flee o’er the River to its eastern coast.
