西風吹老洞庭波，一夜湘君白發多。
醉後不知天在水，滿船清夢壓星河。

(A Lyric on Green-Grass Lake, Longyang County)

 

The zephyr on wings doth age Dongting’s rippling tide,

The Lady of Xiang, o’ernight, doth grow frost-dyed.  

So drunk, I wist not Welkin lieth in the river

Or in starry stream my barque-full dreams abide...
