搖首出紅塵，

醒醉更無時節。

活計綠蓑青笠，

慣披霜衝雪。

 

晚來風定釣絲閑，

上下是新月。

千裏水天一色，

看孤鴻明滅。

Head-shaken, I leave the red dust,

No time shall ever mark me—drunk or no.

In green bamboo hat and cape, I’d fain thrust

Into frost and snow.

 

Night falls, wind ceases, fishing line hangs sans ado,

New moon, above and below.

The stream and sky share the same hue,

Beholding the lone wild goose to come and go...
