贈樂天 – 元稹

 

等閑相見銷長日，也有閑時更學琴。

不是眼前無外物，不關心事不經心。

When idle, I with friends oft while long days away,

Sometimes, I’d fain pluck my zither and learn to play.

O, ‘tis not that matters not lie afore mine eyne,

For nought of mundane care upon my heart doth weigh.
