亂後玄都失古基,看花詩在隻堪悲。
劉郎也是人間客,枉向春風怨兔葵。
A Quatrain by Yuan Hao-wen (Jin Dynasty)
Xuan Du Temple lies in ruins as the turmoil ends,
To which none but grief his flower-viewing verse lends.
Liu Yu-xi was also but a mortal being —
Folly to chide why hare’s ear flowers spring wind sends.
