排比鋪張特一途，藩籬如此亦區區。

少陵自有連城璧，爭奈微之識碔砆。

Parallelism is but a pompous show,

Such walled pomp simply usurps the thoughts’ flow.

Though Du Fu’s poesy is a priceless gem,

Alas, Yuan Zhen’s praise lent it little glow.
