莫怨春歸早，花餘幾點紅。
留將根蒂在，歲歲有東風。

 

Late Spring by Weng Ge (Qing Dynasty)

 

Oh, why so soon doth spring retire?

Lo, only some red petals sway.

So long as the roots don’t expire,

East breeze, each year, blows sans delay.
