蘇堤清明即事 -  （宋）吳惟信

 

梨花風起正清明，遊子尋春半出城。

日暮笙歌收拾去，萬株楊柳屬流鶯。

 

The Su Causeway on Qingming Day by Wu Wei-xin

 

On breezy Qingming Day, pear blossoms woo

Half the townsfolk to seek spring, sans ado.

As dusk sets in, lutes and flutes wane to cease,

Back in myriad willows, orioles coo.
