五月十九日大雨 -（明）劉基

 

風驅急雨灑高城，雲壓輕雷殷地聲。

雨過不知龍去處，一池草色萬蛙鳴。

 

Tempest on the nineteenth of May by Liu Ji (Ming Dynasty)

 

Menacing clouds, peeling thunders, the ground a-quake,

The tempest pounces on the tower sans a break.

Suddenly, the dragons vanish, so doth the storm,

Myriads of frogs chorus by the grass-shored lake.
