浪淘沙九首（其五）- 劉禹錫

 

濯錦江邊兩岸花，春風吹浪正淘沙。

女郎剪下鴛鴦錦，將向中流匹晚霞。

 

A Quatrain by Liu Yu-xi

 

Along the shores of Jin, abloom, flowers abound,

Spring breeze-stirred ripples scour the golden sandy ground.  

A damsel cuts off a piece of love-birds brocade,

Casting it to mid-stream to vie with view twilight-crowned.
