唐多令·蘆葉滿汀洲 — （宋）劉過

 

蘆葉滿汀洲，寒沙帶淺流。

二十年重過南樓。柳下係船猶未穩，

能幾日，又中秋。

 

黃鶴斷磯頭，故人曾到否？

舊江山渾是新愁。欲買桂花同載酒，

終不似，少年遊。

 

A Lyric by Liu Guo (Soong Dynasty)

 

The wilt reeds, on the shoal, strew high and low;

Ashore, cold sand drifts with the shallow flow.

Lo, South Tower — my last visit, twenty years ago.

I rush — ah! Mid-Autumn returns so soon,  

Ere my boat well moors beneath the willow...

 

The headland of Yellow Crane lies below,

Ah, where are my old friends? where did they go?

The old sites evoke many a new woe.

Though I’d buy osmanthus and wine again —

Ah, ne’er a youth who braves any billow...
