七絕·山寺 — 孟朝崗

 

僧樓遠在柏林間，溪水金風繞半山。

漫步三秋瞻梵宇，半由佛意半由閑。

 

The Mountain Temple by Meng Chao-gang

 

The hidden temple sleeps among the cypress trees,

The mountain’s waist is clasped by brook and autumn breeze.

I amble into the sacred, lofty chamber —

Half drawn by Zen faith, half led by my heart at ease.

七絕·山寺 — 孟朝崗

 

僧樓遠在柏林間，溪水金風繞半山。

漫步三秋瞻梵宇，半由佛意半由閑。

 

The Mountain Temple by Meng Chao-gang

 

The temple hides among the distant cypress trees,

The mountain path winds with the brook in golden breeze.

Late autumn’s breath leads me to the sanctuary —

Half called by Buddha, half urged by my heart at ease.
