鷓鴣天 – （宋）範成大

 

嫩綠重重看得成，

曲闌幽檻小紅英。

酴醿架上蜂兒鬧，

楊柳行間燕子輕。

春婉娩，客飄零，

殘花淺酒片時清。

一杯且買明朝事，

送了斜陽月又生。

Lo, tender leaves upon leaves — so rich and so green,

The balusters curve where dainty reds blush — so serene .

Around the climbing-rose trellis frolick the bees,

While swallows flit through weeping willows in between.

Late spring draws nigh — a lonely wanderer yet seen,

Wine sipped, afore fading blooms, I lean...

Alas, I’d buy one more cup to drown poor morrows —

Seeing off Helios, O, here returns Selene...
