誰能鋪白簟，永日臥朱橋。

樹影欄邊轉，波光版底搖。

 

Short Bridge by Su Shi

 

Who could lay his white mat of bamboo out,

And all day long upon the red bridge lie?

Tree-shadows around the rails romp about,

While ripples below glisten and glide by.
