重過閶門萬事非,

梧桐半死清霜後,
頭白鴛鴦失伴飛。
原上草,露初晞。
舊棲新壟兩依依。
空床臥聽南窗雨,
誰複挑燈夜補衣?

Again in Suzhou — ah! all changed, I feel aghast,
“Why came we here together, now apart so vast?”
Although the Wutong stands, a moiety frost-slain,
Twain white-haired lovebirds in flight, one away hath passed.
Dawn-lit dew on the steppe grass flees so fast,
Our old house, thy new grave, enduring love must last.
In lonely bed, I hark rain on the southern sill,
“Ah, who shall mend my robe by lamp?” My heart doth cast...
