新嫁娘 （其一）

 

鄰家人未識，床上坐堆堆。

郎來傍門戶，滿口索錢財。

 

The Bride

 

No guests have seen her looks neath the veil red,

She sits straight and still on the nuptial bed.

Ere her groom’s let into their love chamber,

All shout, “Red packets must be paid ahead”
