禹廟蘭亭今古路，
一夜清霜，染盡湖邊樹。
鸚鵡杯深君莫訴，
他時相遇知何處。

 

冉冉年華留不住，
鏡裏朱顏，畢竟消磨去。
一句丁寧君記取，
神仙須是閑人做。

The old road links Orchid Post to Temple of Yu,

One night, lakeside, frost turns trees to a snowy view.

“Drink deep our Parrot-cups,” dear friend; breathe not thy rue —

For no one knows when and where we shall meet anew.

 

Ah, time doth evaporate like morning dew,

The wrinkled visage, thy glass tells none may eschew.

Prithee, take my counsel, and mayst thou hold it true —

“The freed soul only may immortal grace pursue.”
