萬古幽人在澗阿，百年孤憤竟如何？

無人說與天隨子，春草輸贏較幾多？

Since yore, recluses oft seek a hushed dale to bide,

What of it — such an aged unjust wrath they hide?

Ah, none can enlighten Lu, self-styled Tian Sui-zi —

How oft the rise and fall of vernal grass betide?
