萬古文章有坦途，縱橫誰似玉川盧？

真書不入今人眼，兒輩從教鬼畫符。

Prose hath its proper way since days of yore,

Who now writes bold as Lu once did before?

Young scribes chase grotesque and gaudy style,

As true poesy delights their gaze no more.
