嶺外音書斷，經冬複曆春。
近鄉情更怯，不敢問來人。

Crossing the Han River by Song Zhiwen

The southern alps cut tidings off from kin,
Bleak winter passed, followed by vibrant spring.
Th’ nigher my home, th’ timider I’m within,
Dare ask nobody for any one thing.
