秋夕 – 杜牧

 

銀燭秋光冷畫屏，

輕羅小扇撲流螢。

天階夜色涼如水，

坐看牽牛織女星。

(Autumn Night)

 

Silver-candle-lit autumn, the painted screens cold,

She chases the fireflies off with a silk fan old.

Upon the night palace steps, which are like chill stream,

Vega trysting Altair she sits there to behold.
