寶劍動連星，金鞍別馬鳴。

持將五色筆，奪取錦標名。

(Seeing the Blue-Robed Off for the Imperial Examinations)

 

Lo, their star-studded swords splendidly shine,

Gilt-saddled steeds neigh to leave, on cloud nine.

Taking hold of the five-coloured brushes,

The blue-robed vie for the titles so divine.
