謝人送粽  – （唐）楊巨源

 

來時三月春猶在，到日端陽節又臨。

珍重主人意勤腆，滿槃角黍細包金。

 

A Quatrain by Yang Juyuan (Tang dynasty)

(Appreciation for the Gift of Zongzi)

 

‘Twas the third vernal moon when I was on my way,

The Dragon Boat Fest gan as I reached the coast.

Afore me, laid Zongzi of millet of the day,

I bowed sincerely to my most welcoming host.
