莎士比亞 Sonnet 11

正如你速速地衰敗，你也快快地成長，

在從你而生出的一個孩子身上。

你年輕的時候澆注的新鮮血液，

你仍可說它是你的，當你從青春轉向。

這裏存在著智慧，美麗，和增長的數量

沒有這則是蠢笨，衰老，與冰冷的衰亡。

如果大家都這樣想，將會結束這時代，

六十個春秋就可以讓世界不再存在。

對於那些大自然並未使之長留的東西，

就讓它們刻薄，平凡，粗糙，不育終至腐壞。

看那被賦予最多天賦的人，她給予更多，

得到十足的恩賜，就當十足地珍愛。

大自然刻你做她的封印，意味深長，

你應當多印些印記，莫讓原印死亡。

 

 

As fast as thou shalt wane, so fast thou grow'st，

?In one of thine, from that which thou departest;?

And that fresh blood which youngly thou bestow'st,?

Thou mayst call thine when thou from youth convertest.?

Herein lives wisdom, beauty, and increase;?

Without this folly, age, and cold decay:?

If all were minded so, the times should cease?

And threescore year would make the world away.?

Let those whom nature hath not made for store,?

Harsh, featureless, and rude, barrenly perish:?Look whom she best endowed, she gave the more;?

Which bounteous gift thou shouldst in bounty cherish:?

She carved thee for her seal, and meant thereby,?

Thou shouldst print more, not let that copy die.
