《村居》－ 高鼎

 

草長鶯飛二月天，

拂堤楊柳醉春煙。

兒童散學歸來早，

忙趁東風放紙鳶。

                     

Village Life by Gao Ding (Qing Dynasty)

 

Lunar spring greens the grass, orioles cruise the sky,

Brushing the misty dykes, willows, tipsily shy.      

Lo, children, hastening home early after school,

Cannot wait to urge east wind to fly their kites high.
