減字木蘭花  - 李清照

 

賣花擔上，

買得一枝春欲放。

淚染輕勻，

猶帶彤霞曉露痕。

 

From a peddler’s tray of bamboo,

I pick up a budding spring sprig, in rosy hue...

Moist with a faint teary trace,

Aglow with a dawn’s dewy lace.

 

怕郎猜道，

奴麵不如花麵好。

雲鬢斜簪，

徒要教郎比並看。

 

Afeard my lord might chance to view -

The flower may seem fairer than I do ...

The sprig, slanting in my hair, I place,

For him to compare, which holds more grace...
