七絕·立冬  - 孟朝崗

 

窗蕉尚滴三秋雨，楓葉已凋千樹空。

欲釣寒江天在水，忍看雁斷北風中。

 

Beginning of Winter by Meng Chaogang

 

From window-sided banana, autumn rain drips,

And yonder stands many a leafless maple tree.

Though I’d fain fish on the cold lake where welkin dips,

The geese gone with the north wind, I can’t bear to see.
