元日 – 王安石

 

爆竹聲中一歲除，春風送暖入屠蘇。

千門萬戶曈曈日，總把新桃換舊符。

 

The New Year’s Day by Wang Anshi

 

In the peal of firecrackers the year ends,

The warmth into Tu Su Wine spring breeze blends.

Upon myriad of households the sun shines,

Away each old door-charm each new one sends.
