早梅 - (明)道源
萬樹寒無色,南枝獨有花。
香聞流水處,影落野人家。
A Quatrain by Dao Yuan (Ming dynasty)
(Plum Blossoms in Early Spring)
All trees lost their own hue in extreme cold,
But a south twig alone still stands to blow.
A scent leads me to a brookside household,
The twig’s shade on its wall sways to and fro.
