禪詩 - 唐  龍牙

 

朝見花開滿樹紅，暮觀落葉又還空。

若將花比人間事，花與人間事不同。

 

A Quatrain by Long Ya (Tang dynasty)

 

A tree is full of red flowers at dawn in sight,

Yet it has lost its leaves and flowers all by night.

In like manner, sentient beings and earthly things,

Like flowers, will have changes in a flash of light.
