Upon the Moon by Mowanke
Though ‘tis not sky, nor sea, blue is its hue,
Clouds curl, uncurl, past all eyes, fast they shew.
How small it is, it forms its unique self,
How vast ‘tis, in seconds to dust it flew.
Our births and deaths—same as the life of stars,
So thin as the mist is our joy or rue.
Afar, myriad cosmos beyond us,
On that globe only I dwell—it holds true.
