眼處心聲句自神，暗中摸索總非真。

畫圖臨出秦川景，親到長安有幾人？

Grace of verse springs from what you hear and see,

Blind mimicry yields no true poesy.

Though many try to paint Qin’s hills and rills,

Wayfaring to Chang’an, few men there be.
