初夏遊張園 【宋】戴複古

 

乳鴨池塘水淺深， 熟梅天氣半陰晴。

東園載酒西園醉， 摘盡枇杷一樹金。

 

Early Summer at Zhang Garden by Dai Fu-gu (Soong Dynasty)

 

The ducklings swim from shallow pond to deep, sans rest,

The plums are ripe now beneath a clouded-bright sky,

We drink from the east grove, till tipsy in the west,

Plucking all the gilt loquats from trees far and nigh.
