暮春山間 – （南宋）黃公度

 

緩步春山春日長，流鶯不語燕飛忙。

桃花落處無人見，濯手惟聞澗水香。

 

In the Hill of Late Spring

by Huang Gong-du (Southern Soong Dynasty)

 

Daylight lingers, I’d as lief roam the hill,

Though swallows skim by, songbirds lie so still.

Peach petals drift from some place out of sight,

Yet their fragrance laves my hands in the rill.
