除夜次唐詩韻 – (明) 吳與弼

 

銀燈守歲未應眠， 一聽陽春自灑然。

更祝明朝風日好， 梅花滿眼踏新年。

 

New Year’s Eve by Wu Yubi (Ming Dynasty)

 

Silver lamps stay lit for the New Year’s Eve,

Spring on its wings, as mine ear can perceive.

My prayer goes to morrow with wind fair,

Plum blooms, a feast, all vernal eyes receive.
