I am so sorry to hear about the bad news. Only people who had pets can understand how much one can emotionally attached to it.

My condolence to you. Charlie was so lucky that he had a chance to live with you.
My mom used to have a cat. It was her treasure. When the cat was passing away, she had that pair of blue eyes wide open… staring at my mom until her body became stiff. Trying to persuade my mom to believe the cat was looking at her believing she was another cat… however, mom insisted on saying she was her daughter and did not want to leave her.
Never have I seen such much grey hair my mom had that year… even though she has a dog (keke) and that dog is so cute. Sometimes I believe she is looking at the dog as the surrogate of her cat for 13 years.
I have to resort to God’s wisdom to overcome the emotional feeling of departing and no return the most wonder things we can have in this world……
