最近參加一個國內來美的“招賢會”。 問起 一民營藥廠的副所長(molecular diagnostics, with 3 y post-doc experience) 掙多少。回答是 20 萬RMB, 外加 一套 2 br apartment and a company-provided car. 問一下桌子左右的人， 多數是 Staff Scientist, Senior Scientist, Group leader, 還有少數的是directors. 有 10 到 20年工作經驗技能的人現在掙 $100k to $250k. 大概是國內 這位副所長的 3到8 倍。 這些人要養家供房， 20 萬RMB （3萬多美元）， 根本不夠。不知道可能有別的 灰色收入. 有同學最近回國進千人計劃的。2,000,000 RMB for 5 years, excluding other benefits. 聽起來挺好的。The absolute income is lower than in US, but the purchasing power is probably higher in China (if not buying a single house).
