昨晚9：00，小女照例去給她的小老鼠喂蘋果的時候發現，Little Peanut 死了。雖然早就知道Peaunt 就在這幾天會走，因為一個老鼠的壽命也就2-3年。 可是，真的發生還是難得接受。 女兒在我的懷裏放聲大哭， 兒子抽泣著告訴我：“媽媽，我的心疼”。
後來，孩子的爸爸回來了，我們舉行了一個小小的儀式，把 Little Peanut 埋在後院的花下。
