幽居春思 – 韋莊

 

綠映紅藏江上村，一聲雞犬似山源。

閉門盡日無人到，翠羽春禽滿樹喧。

 

Spring Muse in Hermitage by Wei Zhuang

 

The river-village, green trees and red blooms conceal,

Crows of roosters, barks of dogs, echoes seem from hills,

None calls; my door stays shut all day, such noiseless feel,

Though in the trees, many a green-plume spring-bird trills.
