誰家玉笛暗飛聲，

散入春風滿洛城。

此夜曲中聞折柳，

何人不起故園情！

(The Flute Sound is Heard in Luoyang on a Spring Night)

 

Who’s playing his jade flute at such late night?

The strain strews in Luoyang in breeze in flight.

Tonight, in this tune,“Willow Snapped” is heard,

Whose homesickness wouldn’t be roused by its might?
