孩子們小時候盼著他們長大,這眼見著就要單飛了。。。記得先生表姐跟她女兒說,“你上大學,媽媽租你對門的房子”,孩子說“Don't you dare!” 哈哈哈還是孩子們心理更成熟了。
Welcome back, dear sis! I was hoping you would not leave your precious garden for too long. What a coincidence, the warm spring wind must have brought our whispers to your ears. Blessing (^O^☆♪

Dear Meg, Thank you for the insights on Greek and Roman architectures. I learned engineering of business management, I have a deep appreciation of industrial beauty. For people majored in architecture & arts, a visit to Europe is like getting into an living classroom.
We were so happy we brought the kids with us this time, they've learned things they would not gain from books alone. Enjoy your weekend(^O^☆♪
First of all, thank you very much for your aromatic Italian coffee! I always love it. :)
Also thank you for the link of九月豆 post called意大利的癡情和羅馬建築的陽剛雄偉. Why I did not notice this post at the time!? Somehow, I miss her posts. They had a kind of relentless energy, which is exactly like Roman architecture.
She mentioned古希臘的石柱建築在這裏得到了傳承並發揚光大。In fact, ancient Greek architecture was cradle of Roman architecture (maybe we can say cradle of Wester architecture). Greek architecture retains its power, presence, noble beauty and simplicity. When I stood in front of the Parthenon in the sunset, I was moved into tears by its breathtaking beauty.
Again, thank you so much for a beautiful post which provides us with a platform for an interesting discussion of architecture.
From those pictures, I reckon you all had a great time in Rome. Best wishes for you and all your family!
Welcome Meg to my garden, offering you a cup of aromatic Italian coffee.
We were in awe at how the two-thousand-year-old Pantheon stood. It has been in continuous use. The triangle structure in the front is very appealing to the eye, the arch dome in the center lets in the sunbeam~where there is light, there is life.
Your are very knowledgeable, Meg, your comments make me think of my good friend 九月,she wrote a blog about Italy and its architecture. Here is the link:

Thanks for sharing! Glad you mentioned and had many shots of the Pantheon in the post.
"萬神廟是建築史上重要裏程碑,意大利著名藝術家拉斐爾和第一任國王維克多等人都安息在此"
Emperor Hadrian may have had a hand in the Pantheon's design.
It’s one of the world's greatest religious and civic buildings. Anyone who is interested in Roman architecture would know a lot of this iconic building in Rome.
