春行寄興 – （唐）李華

 

宜陽城下草萋萋，

澗水東流複向西。

芳樹無人花自落，

春山一路鳥空啼。

 

A Quatrain by Li Hua

(An Impromptu in Spring Hike)

 

Around the Town of Yiyang grows bush lush,

The alp creeks flow east and turn west in hush.

In lonely woods the lonely flowers fall,

In birds’ vain shrills the spring trail walks sans rush.
