Biography

David Haubert earned a bachelor's degree from California State University, Northridge, and a master's degree from UCLA. He became president of the Alameda County Mayors Conference and began serving on the Alameda County Transportation Commission, the Livermore-Amador Valley Transportation Authority, and the Alameda County Local Area Formation Commission.[1]

美國加州阿拉米達郡郡長大衛?郝伯特，在第五屆中美友城大會上致辭。

對於中美之間是否存在誤解，加州阿拉米達郡郡長大衛．郝伯特直言，「我們不需要『脫鉤』，相反我們需要交往。我們不需要『築牆』，我們需要跨越障礙。」他並以自己8年內到訪中國16次、遊曆過25座城市的經曆稱，一些人從沒去過中國，「當你親自去的時候，會消除誤解。」

香港大公報報導，第五屆中美友城大會3日在江蘇蘇州舉行，來自中國各省市以及美國22個州的各界代表，圍繞「共建綠色城市 共享民生福祉」主題，展開積極探討。大衛．郝伯特出席了開幕式並發表致辭。

會議期間，大衛．郝伯特表示，在當前形勢下，增進理解與互信對美中兩國至關重要。「增進相互理解有助於我們向彼此學習。這正是能夠讓我們都受益的友誼。我們不需要『脫鉤』，相反我們需要交往。我們不需要『築牆』，我們需要跨越障礙。我認為兩國實現合作共贏，基於相互尊重、和平共處，以及我們共同的發展目標。」

他表示，不僅要通過簽署協議創建友城關係，還要持續努力推動友好交流和務實合作，以使友城的合作關係蓬勃發展，成果豐碩，最終惠及人民。

「這是我第16次訪問中國，已經去過25個城市了。」細數自己與中國的緣分，大衛．郝伯特說，「我跟中國的緣分從2015年開始，第一次旅行是跟著一個市長代表團，這是一次美妙的經曆。次年我又去了一次，我的大部分旅行都是去中國做生意。」

據報導，當談到此前中美之間存在的一些誤解誤判，大衛．郝伯特說道，「你對中國有意見，你去過幾次？結果他們說從來沒有去過中國。所以，如果你不去，你就不知道。人們需要來中國，認識中國。如果你在一開始有任何誤解，那麽當你親自去的時候，會消除誤解。」在他看來，中美之間應該繼續交流，繼續會麵，繼續交換意見。
