第一次聽到這首歌，是和我的co-intern一起開車旅行。她跟著車裏的音樂大聲唱著，唱到高音還會一直飆上去，和平時溫和的作風判若兩人。

有人說，了解一個人最好的機會，是旅行，那次短暫的幾小時的車程，讓我們成了好朋友。她的未婚夫在芝加哥作住院醫生，她和我一起在另外一州作住院醫生，他們的周末都是在中部那條高速公路上來回奔馳。

她說很多次她開車的時候都覺得很累很辛苦，開始困惑她和未婚夫的將來，然後她就會跟著這首歌放聲高歌，把自己心理的壓抑宣泄出來。她是我慢慢了解美國音樂的橋梁。

今天偶爾又聽到這首歌，想起了那段歲月。那時候總覺得住院醫生很漫長，很辛苦，現在回想起來，卻是充滿了各種滋味的精彩歲月。
