Do you know why? Simply because American society, as a general, is not willing to look back at her dark history and reflect. Just like Chinese Great Culture Revolution and June 4th, the nation and the state just choose to forget about it.
But on the other hand, why reflect and be ashamed of yourself, unless you have to? Jews, Germen and Japanese learnt their lessons, in a hard way. American are still lucky enough.
