Boston Marathon and the Heart Break Hill, 4/18/2011
Some general information: Boston Marathon is the world's oldest annual marathon. Heartbreak Hill is an ascent over 0.4 mile (600 m) of the Boston Marathon course, between the 20 and 21 mile marks, in the vicinity of Boston College. Patriots' Day (officially Patriots' Day in Massachusetts and Patriot's Day in Maine) is a civic holiday commemorating the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first battles of the American Revolutionary War. It is observed on the third Monday in April in Massachusetts and Maine.
今年的參賽人數是2萬七千人， 報名開始後8小時就報滿了。每年的這一天我都請一天假， 帶著孩子(們)觀看， 送水， 遞水果， 給運動員們加油， 幾個小時下來， 嗓子包啞。：-)
