The quotation is humorous, but still out of the thoughts of MAN; if dogs were "smart" enough, they would be same as Man.
別小瞧了"狗" is not a "poem" i wanted it to be, but i realized that in those phrases/metaphors, we, the Chinese people, have invested so much in the word "dog," which is often mean and crude toward other human beings....thus, it reveals part of our culture......
so, it is not far-fetched to connect the nature of dogs with the nature of human society.....because dogs and humans are all creatures.....
but humans are the most self-righteous of all!!!
can you imagine what a dog thinks when observing us??????
...witnessing humans' celebration of certain holidays...
Dog: What the hell are these humans doing on the stage, shouting and yelling
and never get tired of themselves? And they drink such nasty liquid in
order to fall on the ground, fight each other, and throw up the good food
other humans painstakingly made for them?
Why do humans keep killing each other for so many thousands of years???
Why do they select the stupid, heartless ones to lead them?
Why do they create so many television sets to corrupt their kids and soul?
Why do they plant trees and flowers and all they do is sitting inside
their little brick structure and staring at the screen for hours and hours
until they get so fat and sad???
How come that humans don't even know how to love each other!!
Humans are the funniest creature when it comes to love-making!!! They try
to imitate us, but they are not dogs!!! They even exploit the female humans
Humans create all these noise-making machines and they have turned the
earth into Hell for us!! The noise they make seems to take over their
language!!!
Humans slave each other and use that little paper thing they call "money"
to control and manipulate each other!!!! Some stupid ones even die for
that paper thing!!!!
Ahh, poor humans!!!!

不僅是狗，甚至是人，have been so crudely treated...in metaphor.....大部分都是借用“狗”來指人。。。在那些隱喻裏，人與人之間的關係很可悲地實際上大部分是狗與狗之間的關係，比如“狗咬狗”，比如“狗東西”常是對人的稱呼。。。在這種氛圍下，其實人對狗（人）的真切關注非常有限，多是利用狗就像利用人一樣。。。由此阿Q的產生極為正常，還有因而產生的中國人的幽默。。。而不願做“狗東西”的人需要有極大的反抗精神和認真精神。。。但是反抗與認真是社會環境下中國人很難做到的。。。“The world will be complete for him who himself is complete”。。。
所以“別小瞧了"狗"!!!”這首詩裏蘊涵了不少值得思考的話題，而且詩人好像方方麵麵都點到了。。。“dog is an amazing creature”，人更是，an amazing creature。。。我始終覺得人是最美麗的，當然也有醜惡之徒，但我常願意看到人美麗的一麵，不然活著很難受。。。如果人不愛人，人和狗也沒什麽好區分的，“說唱笑罵，勿忘狗良”。。。。
