2009年7月13日，中國上海，今天本是劉翔生日，但他並沒有請假在家過生日，而是為了複出繼續在室內訓練館埋頭苦練，當訓練結束之後劉翔一邊接受按摩一邊聆聽孫海平教練講解，由於天氣十分炎熱，最後劉翔直接把衣服脫了掛在身上赤膊與師傅兩人騎腳踏車回到宿舍，兩人邊騎邊聊天。
