A. Persistent eating of non-nutritive substances for a period of at least 1 month

C. The eating behavior is not part of culturally sanctioned practice
這種行為也不是因為宗教的緣故
D. If the eating behavior occurs exclusively during the course of another mental disorder (e.g., Mental Retardation, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Schizophrenia), it is sufficiently severe to warrant independent clinical attention.
如果這種異常的進食行為在某種精神疾病發作期間(如精神發育遲緩,廣泛性發育障礙,精神分裂症),那麽行為的嚴重程度也達到了獨立診斷的標準.
Rumination Disorder

A. Repeated regurgitation and rechewing of food for a period of at least 1 month following a period of normal functioning

B. The behavior is not due to an associated gastrointestinal or other general medical condition (e.g., oesophageal reflux)

C. The behavior does not occur exclusively during the course of anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa. If the symptoms occur exclusively during the course of mental retardation or pervasive developmental disorder, they are sufficiently severe to warrant independent clinical attention

A. Feeding disturbance as manifested by persistent failure to eat adequately with significant failure to gain weight or significant loss of weight over at least 1 month.

B. The disturbance is not due to an associated gastrointestinal or other general medical condition (e.g., oesophageal reflux)

C. The disturbance is not better accounted for by another mental disorder (e.g., Rumination Disorder) or by lack of available food

D. The onset is before age 6 years.
